Our dedicated Board Members play a vital role in ensuring the beauty and serenity of our cemetery grounds. We honor the lives of those laid to rest here, and strive to provide a serene and dignified atmosphere for families during their time of need.

LUKE TRAVIS – President

Luke Travis is a dedicated community leader who has proudly called Setauket home for over 42 years. Since joining the Setauket Fire Department in 1977, he has risen through the ranks to serve as both Captain and Commissioner, demonstrating a deep commitment to public safety and community service.

In addition to his firefighting duties, Luke has played a pivotal role in preserving Setauket’s rich heritage. Since2010, he has served as Trustee and President of Cedar Hill Cemetery, ensuring that this historic site is maintained with the utmost respect and care. His passion for local history also shines through his active involvement with the Port Jefferson Historical Society, where he works diligently to protect and promote the area’s historical legacy for future generations.

Though he moved to Coram 10 years ago, Luke’s dedication to Port Jefferson and its community continues to make a lasting impact.

THOMAS TAYLOR – Vice President

Thomas has been a pillar in the community for over 40 years, dedicating himself as a financial advisor and providing invaluable guidance to Cedar Hill Cemetery for more than 30 years. He currently serves as a Trustee and Vice President, furthering his commitment to the community. A proud graduate of Port Jefferson High School, he has strong ties to the area and is actively involved in his local church community. As a father of two grown children and a grandfather of four, Thomas continues to cherish family life in Port Jefferson, holding dear the memories of his late wife.

GAIL TILTON – Secretary

A lifelong resident of Port Jefferson, Gail has been deeply involved in her community for many years. Since 2007, she has served as Trustee and Secretary for Cedar Hill Cemetery, where she plays a key role in preserving the legacy of the many generations laid to rest there. Gail’s strong ties to Port Jefferson are further reflected in her graduation from Port Jefferson High School and her ongoing involvement as a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church.

Family is central to Gail’s life. She is blessed with a supportive spouse, two grown children, and three beloved grandchildren.

BARBARA CASSIDY – Treasurer

For over 15 years, Barbara has served as Trustee and Treasurer of Cedar Hill Cemetery, dedicating her efforts to preserving the final resting place for generations of Port Jefferson residents. Her commitment to public service is further demonstrated by her roles as Secretary and Treasurer of the Port Jefferson Fire District, as well as her previous position on the Village Board of Appeals.

Barbara’s passion for preserving local history is evident in her active involvement with the Port Jefferson Historical Society. Additionally, she finds peace and fulfillment in serving her community at Infant Jesus Church.


Trustees of Cedar Hill Cemetery

JENNIFER LEWIS

A native of Port Jefferson and a graduate of Port Jefferson High School, Jennifer has lived in Rocky Point with her husband and two young children for over 10 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and is a dedicated Special Education Teacher on Long Island. Jennifer is honored to be serving Cedar Hill Cemetery, helping to maintain its legacy and honor. In addition to her professional work, she is actively involved in her community, contributing her time to Girl Scouts Suffolk County and her local church parish.

MICHAEL LACKOS

Michael resides in West Babylon with his wife and two children and brings over 27 years of experience in the cemetery industry. His career commenced at St. Charles Cemetery, where he began as an office worker and subsequently advanced to the position of Supervisor. Currently, he is employed at Fricke Memorials, where he manages a diverse array of projects encompassing all facets of memorial and cemetery services. Michael’s commitment to Cedar Hill is rooted in both his extensive industry experience and a personal connection, as his father, also named Michael, is interred there.

GREGORY C. MULLER

Gregory, a lifelong resident of Suffolk County, proudly calls Port Jefferson Station his home. With over 20 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director, he is committed to serving the Port Jefferson area and its neighboring communities. His dedication to giving back extends beyond his professional responsibilities.

Gregory has previously coached and supported local youth at Terryville Soccer and is now a newly sworn volunteer firefighter with the Terryville Fire Department.

ERIKA SCHAUB

Erika serves as an Emergency Manager for the MTA. A resident of Setauket since 1986, she has spent some time away pursuing graduate studies and other projects.

In addition to her professional role, Erika volunteers with the Setauket Fire Department. She is a dedicated mother of two and shares her home with a spirited dog, actively engaging in community initiatives.

SUSANNE MEYERS

Susanne is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatry, currently working at SUNY Stony Brook’s Counseling Center. There, she provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief
psychotherapy to Stony Brook University students. In addition to her professional role, Susanne has been a dedicated volunteer firefighter in the Three Village Community for nearly three decades and has been elected
to serve two separate 5-year terms on the Board of Fire Commissioners.

As a mother of four, Susanne experienced the profound loss of her son in December 2016, an event that inspired her to join the Board at Cedar Hill Cemetery. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her three grandchildren, reading, gardening, and cherishing quality moments with her husband Steve, a former Assemblyman and current County Legislator, as well as their beloved dachshund, Buster.

JOHN SENESI – Auditor

KENNETH BOEHM – Superintendent

Ken, a lifelong resident of Long Island, graduated from Port Jefferson High School. After dedicating six years to the U.S. Naval Reserves Construction Battalion (RNMCB-13), he utilized his expertise as a certified Arborist and Master Gardener. Ken served as a Grounds Maintenance Foreman while also managing his own business, Boehm Land Services, specializing in landscaping, tree work, and trucking.

Currently, he considers his position at Cedar Hill Cemetery a true privilege, viewing it as the culmination of his career and a role that aligns with his personal mission.

TOM BOVE – Assistant Superintendent

Thomas grew up in Port Jefferson and graduated from Port Jefferson High School in 2011. During high school, he had no idea that the peaceful sanctuary of Cedar Hill Cemetery was just above him on Liberty Avenue. After
eight rewarding years of working there, he couldn’t imagine a better job. Thomas enjoys working outdoors with his co-workers and takes pride in serving the community by caring for their loved ones.

He graduated from Suffolk County Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, where he also ran Track and Field. In his free time, Thomas enjoys playing golf and spending quality moments with his wife and their two dogs.
